AdGuy Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Started with a $55 bid for a 3* in Convention Center/Capitol Hill Zone - REJECTEDAdded Springfield (FREE REBID) and increased to $57 - REJECTEDAdded White House Zone (not a free rebid but okay if we ended here) and increased to $60 - ACCEPTEDRenaissance Washington D.C. Hotel Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill Area999 9th Street Nw Washington, District Of Columbia 20001Your Offer Price: $60.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $120.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $24.71 Total Charges: $144.71 Upon receipt of my confirmation number, I went to the website to see how much this was going for and found they were sold out! It looks like it was $205/night according to Orbitz but again when I tried to find additional detail on the Orbitz site, they indicated it was sold out...I must have the last room!! :) Also, when I called reservations to request a non-smoking room, I was told by the agent she "couldn't touch the reservation since it was booked via Priceline". I mentioned I had just yesterday had a Priceline room at the Renaissance Inner Harbor updated my reservations but she remained firm. I hung up, redialed, got a new agent and...surprise...no problem guaranteeing a non-smoking room and requesting a King bed! :) AdGuy
