Priceline Hotel: Help with Chicago 11/19/2011

I've seen some amazing deals here for 4 star properties in the loop ($55+) and also for ORD 4 star Hyatt at $50+

I'm looking for one night nov 19, 2011. This is the magnificent mile parade day.

Is this generally a busy weekend?

I'm having trouble finding decent deals.

I prefer The loop but am also considering ORD and then just taking the train downtown.

Any help?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Have you already started bidding? If so, what bids have you made so far? Additionally, what would be your desired budget per night?

In terms of ORD, are you flying in or driving in?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

For Loop properties, I have bid as high as $80 about a week ago but trying to get some of the better deals I see posted on the forum.

From the forum it seems like ORD Hyatt could be had for $60 or less while common Loop ones are $100 or more.

I guess $100 is okay but not sure if its worth staying near the airport to save the extra bucks.

I am flying in on the saturday at noon and flying out the next day at noon so I have 24 hrs to play :)

I'm trying to book for the same weekend, so I figure I can just chime in here. My criteria:

- North Michigan Ave - River North Area or Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area.

- ****

- Nights of the 18th and 19th.

My last bid was $95 and it got rejected. I'm going to try more money or maybe step down to 3.5 tomorrow. Hope that helps.

I'll probably make a thread when I get a deal, but for now I was just posting to give Bailey the information if he's trying to bid now. I don't think there's much else that can be done to help me right now.

Not sure if you continued trying to bid in the Loop or NMA area but I was unsuccessful even at 125 for 4* in NMA. It's a busy weekend and hotels exclude this weekend from many of the specials they have. Maybe $130 would get you in NMA at 4*. I ended up booking through Travelocity at $180 a night at the Dana Hotel but had a $100 certificate so it brought the cost down significantly and not worth using PRICELINE anymore. Good Luck!
