thereuare Posted November 4, 2011 Report Posted November 4, 2011 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Are you familiar with New Orleans and/or have specific plans when in town? As your original thoughts were to stay Downtown, if you're a 'typical tourist' to the area, you really don't want to stay out in Metarie.Do you have a specific reason/plans to be in Metarie or were you looking at this area based upon price? What is your goal and budget for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. billvill Posted November 5, 2011 Author Report Posted November 5, 2011 Know New Orleans well. Going for a conference that has prices Downtown, in The Garden District, and Warehouse district inflated. I wanted to explore Metarie as it is a bit quieter and in between the Airport and Downtown.
thereuare Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 This property has not yet been reported to the board. With just these two, common, amenity icons showing, there are numerous possibilities... the Best Western, Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Courtyard and Sheraton would all fit, and there could be even more. The 3* Downtown property in your first post is a match for the La Quinta Inn and Suite Downtown, and if correct, gets very good reviews (as evidenced by the 95% customer satisfaction rating). At $92/nite, closer to your venue, and including breakfast, i would think this is the better option, but you know your plans and 'wants' for this trip better than we do.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. billvill Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 Thanks for the intel. I'll be making a decision in the next week.
