Our flight arrives into Newark late on 11/19 so we were looking for a decent hotel close to the airport. Started bidding at $60 and increased in $5 increments by adding zones until accepted at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands. A bit further from the airport than we'd hoped for but free parking and convenient to drive into NYC the next day. Cheapest rate on hotel's website for same date is $97 so pretty good deal.

Driving into NYC and finding parking is a bit easier on Sundays, but it can still be a hassle, the toll for the tunnel was just increased to $12. There is a NJ transit bus stop a block away from the hotel as an alternative.
