smile283 Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Have tried booking the past few days using free re-bid zones plus Mayfair/Soho and Marble Arch/Bloomsbury while aiming for the cheaper Kensington zone. The past few days have gotten counter offers of $134, but today I finally went over $115 and got the NH Kensington for $118.Was hoping to get a stay for cheaper, but it seems the rates for this time period have gone up. Did save a lot though, so I am pleased.I did use your PRICELINE link for all my bids.
smile283 Posted October 31, 2011 Author Report Posted October 31, 2011 Forgot to mention, this was for London!

Seannie3166 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 I am looking around that same time and price range, what happens when you are counter offered? I've never had this happen.
smile283 Posted November 8, 2011 Author Report Posted November 8, 2011 When you get the counteroffer, you are close to the amount. They will phrase it like, for $xx dollars more you can retry your bid without adding new zones. I've noticed that the next accepted bid is around 90%. For example 90% of the $134 counteroffer is around $120, and my bid of $118 was accepted.Have you tried searching HOTWIRE? There's a 4* kensington hotel available for $121 for my dates, with 90% recommended reviews. If you decide to book through HOTWIRE, please use the link on this site.
