Southpaw69 Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 HiI have used Priceline a few years ago and successfully got a good deal on hotel in New York with help from this website. So am looking for your help again please.I'm visiting Canada in November 2011.I'll be looking for 3 nights in Montreal (7th Nov until 10th Nov), I'd like to try for 4 star hotels (or above!). Not sure of which locations for any of them but recommendations grateful. Budget looking to do $200CAD or under per night?Hope you can help again with a strategy. Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 PRICELINE recently split the Downtown zone into two separate areas, Convention Center-Old Montreal-Latin Quarter and Downtown-City Center. So far it doesn't appear that users necessarily have a preference of one over the other and both are bid somewhat frequently/interchangeably, but you should confirm that each would work well for your needs this trip. If you're interested in both zones i don't see too much of an issue with your budget as you should be able to get something for about half of your limit.Let us know once you're ready to begin bidding and the zones you decide and your maximum bid (in US Dollars before fees and taxes) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. So 3 nights in Montreal. Budget inc all fees $200 USD. Although would be very happy if its half that!In regards to zones I am happy to go with your suggestion of trying both Convention Center-Old Montreal-Latin Quarter and Downtown-City Center. Thanks in advance
