Reamund11 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Hello All:I'm trying to bid on a 4* hotel in Zone 1 for 11/3/11 - 11/6/11. I've made 2 bidding attempts so far: $70 (rejected) and $80 (rejected). I've looked carefully at the map, and it appears that Zone 1 (Niagara Falls) is the only zone with 4* hotels. Zone 2 (North Niagara Falls) appears to have none, so I'm considering re-bidding within the next 24 hrs. and including this additional area. Is this a wise move? If I include another zone in my re-bid, would I have an ok chance making the same $80 offer? Thanks!
thereuare Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! The property way to determine your re-bid zones is outlined here: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedPlease take the time read the previous thread and feel free to ask any question you may have.If you add a re-bid zone and bid $80 your chances of winning would be low since you were just rejected just 24 hours at this same price... so win you would need a hotel to have lowered their rates in the (short) time frame in which you had previously bid. However, if you can confirm that you understand your FOUR re-bid zones available when bidding for a 4* hotel in this area, and let us know your maximum bid, we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
