Were you bidding all three Shanghai Priceline zones - Changning, Huangpu and Pudong?

Just to be sure, were your dates check-in November 2 and check-out November 8? For a total of 6 nights?

I looked at Hotwire 5*s for your dates

November 2 $162

November 3 $224

November 4 no 5* available

November 5 no 5* available

November 6 $160

November 7 $157

It looks like there is some major event/holiday/celebration in Shanghai November 3, 4 and 5.

I suspect you will have to bid quite a bit higher to be successful. If you are willing to change hotels, you might consider splitting your bid. If your budget is limited, you might want to consider the 4* hotels.
