I agree that the best guess for the MTE property is the W New York.

The MTC property might be the Shoreham, but i would put my guess that the Mansfield has been upgraded to the 4* level since last reported to the board.

Thank you. I'm investigating other options since I have 2 months before my trip. I plan to book a hotel within the next week or so, before prices go up - this is Christmas in New York after all. I will use the links if I go the Hotwire or Priceline route.

This is actually not that expensive of a time in NYC... it's after the pre-Christmas high season and probably a day short of the more expensive New Years Eve dates.

I went with Priceline, and got the W New York Hotel in the Midtown East zone at $140.

Bid history:

$135 - priceline counter-offered $162

$140 - accepted

Lowest rate on the hotel's website is $175.76, not as big of a deal as my previous Priceline wins, but I still saved $100 for the stay. This is my first stay at a W hotel and I hope it will be a good experience.
