thereuare Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 I agree that the best guess for the MTE property is the W New York. The MTC property might be the Shoreham, but i would put my guess that the Mansfield has been upgraded to the 4* level since last reported to the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. austin_res Posted October 22, 2011 Author Report Posted October 22, 2011 Thank you. I'm investigating other options since I have 2 months before my trip. I plan to book a hotel within the next week or so, before prices go up - this is Christmas in New York after all. I will use the links if I go the Hotwire or Priceline route.
thereuare Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 ... this is Christmas in New York after all. This is actually not that expensive of a time in NYC... it's after the pre-Christmas high season and probably a day short of the more expensive New Years Eve dates. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you decide to do for this trip. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. austin_res Posted October 26, 2011 Author Report Posted October 26, 2011 I went with Priceline, and got the W New York Hotel in the Midtown East zone at $140.Bid history:$125$130$135 - priceline counter-offered $162$139$140 - acceptedLowest rate on the hotel's website is $175.76, not as big of a deal as my previous Priceline wins, but I still saved $100 for the stay. This is my first stay at a W hotel and I hope it will be a good experience.I used the PRICELINE link. I love the new format of the forums :)
AaronJB Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Superb deal for this well-located W property! Glad you are looking forward to trying the W chain.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
