$222 per night, good deal I think because reservations via the Hotel website are showing $499/night.

As always, the re-bidding strategy championed on this site worked wonders

Not sure if this helps anyone but for same weekend, bid $211 for Soho/Financial District, was rejected, but implored to re-bid $256. So I guess that means I would have won something at that price?

Congrats on your success. :)

Definitely an excellent discount for NYC! Can you confirm which hotel you did get - the thread title listed both W and Intercontinental Barclay.

If you get a counter-offer from PRICELINE, the actual required bid for a win is often in-between the counter-offer price and your last bid and one can use re-bidding to work higher slowly rather than jumping to the counter-offer price. However, if one did jump right to the counter-offer price, acceptance is highly likely.

Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.
