LeoNYC Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Trying to book a reasonably priced hotel (up to 120/night) for 3 nights in the middle of November near the ocean. Getting this from Hotwire:$107/night, 2 stars, recommended by 60% of Hotwire customers in Miami Beach. I wonder what it is?Anyone bid for any hotels in the area? Any suggestions/tips/results would be appreciated.

AaronJB Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 What are the amenity icons that are showing with the listing. Lists of HOTWIRE and PRICELINE hotels that been reported to the board can be found at this link: Priceline and Hotwire FloridaThank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
LeoNYC Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 Miami Beach area hotel, 3.5*Dates: Nov 11, 2011-Nov 16, 2011Amenities: Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Pool(s), High-Speed Internet Access$116 per room per nightI looked at the list of the Hotwire hotels on the site and searched through the forum threads - I don't see the match. Hotwire site says that 7 people booked this hotel in the past 24 hours.
thereuare Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. When searching HOTWIRE for your dates the 3.5* i see offered in this zone as the amenities above, but also a Restaurant icon... does the hotel you're being offered also show a Restaurant icon? If not, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. LeoNYC Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 Sorry, did not know it was relevant.Yes, the Amenities list includes the Restaurant icon. Today this same hotel is shown at 113 dollars/night.So the complete Amenities list is: Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Pool(s), Restaurant, High Speed Internet and it is for just 2 people, no kids.
thereuare Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 A property with this amenity set has not yet been reported to the board. It's possibly a new star rating and amenity set for the Circa 39, and that would be my best guess for this one, but i'm far from certain. Regardless of what property this is, I would note the rather low 55% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests, as that does raise a red flag in terms of quality. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
