Welcome to BetterBidding!

This is a busy time in NYC.

Little confused as you mentioned you had bid up to $111 above for a 2.5* but your topic title asks for a 3*. Can you clarify?

Or, you may not need to, if this is acceptable:

Hotiwre has what appears to be the Murray Hill Suites (3* in MTS zone, but on 39th St so it's not very South) for $125/nite. If you've never use Hotwire before you can use the discount code 'GIFTCARD06' for $10 off per nite. It's not a 4* hotel, but the reviews are decent considering the price... here are some other HOTEL REVIEWS from our users.

Let us know yoru thoughts and what you decide to do.

Actually I don't really care about the star..

my preference is

1. price ( the less the better... poor students)

2. location (anywhere that is close to downtown NYC.. even NJ will be fine too as long as it is convenient )

3. star (3* & above will be great.. if not just want a place where we can have our own bathroom)

I can just go for 6/27-6/29 or 6/29-6/30 too. Any other suggestions?

I'll check out Murray Hill now.

Are you willing to SPLIT YOUR BID?

If so, you could book (what is believed to be) the Murry Hill for the first two nites and then another hotel for the last nite.

If you don't want to split your bid, or just for the last nite, Hotwire has a 4* hotel in the MTE zone for $169/nite... believed to be the W New York. If you've never used Hotwire before you can use Giftcard06 for $10 off per nite (you can only use this once if you choose to split the bid, so use it first to purchase the 2 nite stay :) )

Reviews of this W have been mixed, but have greatly improved over the last month (maybe there is a new manager there turning things around? one could only hope for if this hotel has improved it's often available at a decent price)

You could also try to beat this rate on Priceline for the last nite, but unless rates have come down in the last few days i think it will be a tough win as we've seen some rejected just a few days prior for that date.
