1. What should I expect to pay for a decent hotel on the strip in Vegas over Veteran's Day weekend (11/11 - 11/13)?

2. Any help iding this one (from Hotwire)...

The HOTWIRE property above would be a match for the Westin Casuarina so that would be my best guess. However, i'll point out that although in PRICELINE's Strip South zone, it is actually located slightly off-strip.

You mention a 4* hotel on the strip, but would something like the Westin be acceptable?

I'm trying to book for Veteran's Day weekend, and this hotel came up as 139/night. It seems really low for the other prices I've been seeing so I wanted to see if anyone could help me ID it?

FYI - appears to be several hotels that could match (hard to say with Golf "nearby" not a listed ammenity on any of this Board's HW wins) but the moderators are great at focusing on possible matches. Good luck!

Are you seeing any other listings of interest within your desired price range for these dates?

Additionally, searching for 2 adults and 2 children MAY bring up a different 4* property in this zone, but it may also be more expensive. Additionally, the Westin has been seen with multiple different amenity sets, so it still may be appearing with different amenities when searching for 2/2.

What is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes and fees) and minimum star rating for this trip?

Ideally we'd like to spend less than 200/night for around a 4 star hotel.

Rates are quite high for these dates and I didn't see any large conventions for this timeframe, but dug a little deeper and learned there is a big fight on Saturday nite at MGM Grand.

Based upon the current rates the $135 rate for the Westin would be pretty good, although i could understand if that isn't what you were expecting for this stay. I think you have a few options and we'll advise for whatever route you'd like to take:

1) Bid for a 4* hotel in the Strip North zone for up to $200 (or whatever limit you decide). The Strip South would need to be 'off-limits' for you if you're trying to avoid the Westin

2) Bid for a 5* hotel in the Strip North and Strip South zones. While i think $200 may fall a little short, i do think you have a chance at ~$225 or so... we can suggest a strategy for whatever amount you'd like to use.

3) Bid on the 4* Strip South zone taking the 'deal' that this hotel represents given the higher then usual rates
