I would like to stay in, or very close to Pasadena, but I'm not sure if the bidding zones are that specific. I can't tell by looking at the maps which areas I should be choosing. I am willing to pay up to $90 for a 4*, if I can get 4* I would be willing to go to 3.5 *.You assistance would be appreciated.
MF62 Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 I had previously been looking in the Los Angeles area, and I've just realised that there is a seperate San Gabriel area that includes Pasadena, however, when I choose Pasadena the site gives the following message:"Pasadena, California is located within the Los Angeles - San Gabriel Valley region and may or may not be in one of the areas listed below"I don't really understand this, so help still required please.
Romelle Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 When you go in to bid Pasadena, click on "detail map" for Zone 3 - Pasadena. Then zoom in on it a little more. You can see that the bidding area includes Pasadena and East Pasadena plus part of Oak Knoll. When bidding Priceline, you can end up with a hotel anywhere in that shaded map area. I've seen similar messages for other areas. I'm also not sure just why the message is there, but I do know that the map defines the bidding area. If you are OK with that area, you are OK with bidding.Romelle
