BizzyB Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Looking for bidding strategy for 4*/Resort in Wailea for 2 nights from 11/30 - 12/02. The current rate at Marriott Wailea is $199.00. Is this hotel considered a 4* or a Resort?Would like to keep the price around $150 or if bids fail would add Kaanapali as another option. Thank you for your assistance.
Romelle Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 The very first post in this Priceline -Hawaii area is a list of hotels people have reported here as successful bids. All the Marriotts are showing as Resorts. Another way to find out would be to enter "marriott wailea" in the Quick Search box up above on this page.Romelle
thereuare Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! While it may ultimately take a bit more, i would start with the following:At the Resort level in Wailea you have TWO re-bid zones. Is this hotel considered a 4* or a Resort?Would like to keep the price around $150 or if bids fail would add Kaanapali as another option. Thank you for your assistance. It is a resort.Stayed there a few times. Lowest I got it for was $99 night but during "off season". Last time I went in 6/11, we got it at $180/night.Also keep in mind that they also charge a $25/day Resort fee when you check in. This includes your parking, Internet and other "resort" amentities. Which IMO is balognese.
