Thanks. It turns out that this Howard Johnson has some smoking rooms, and those are the only ones available this weekend. This is unfortunate because I've become used to hotels being completely non-smoking.

At check-in try asking for a non-smoking room, but i wouldn't let on that you have already made such a request.
