Priceline Hotel: Need help identifying Temecula hotel

Hi! I'm having a little trouble identifying a hotel. I'm looking for a room from 10/22-23 in Temecula, CA. I also chose the "Hotel area" of Temecula, so that narrowed it down to 5 hotels, 4 of which have star ratings. They are:

Embassy Suites (3 stars) $204

Best Western Country Inn (2 stars) $149

Rodeway Inn Temecula (1 star) $120

Extended Stay America (1 star) $114

Because we hope to bring our small dog with us, I'm aiming for the Embassy Suites who allows pets for an extra charge. However when I go to name my own price, I don't see any 3 star hotels. I see a 2.5 star option and it states the median price is $194. How can this be? The 2 and 1 star median prices make sense ($149 and $117, respectively), so I'm confused.

Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!!! (by the way, the Extended Stay allows pets supposedly, but since the Rodeway Inn does not, I would prefer not to roll the dice)

Thank you!!!!!

The hotels used by the 'retail' section of PRICELINE, and those use by the 'name your own price' side of their service, each use a different universe of hotels, so there are some hotels which participate with one side of their service and not the other, and vice-versa. See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ for more information on this topic.

As well, the retail and bidding services each use different zone names and/or boundaries, so it's possible that the hotel you're seeing in 'Temecula' on the retail side is not in the boundaries of the 'Temecula' zone on the bidding side.

I'll also add that since you're trying to take a guess as to the property you may receive before your purchase so that you can bring your dog along, HOTWIRE would likely be a better option for this trip since you can take a guess as to what is offered based upon the amenities shown to be associated with the property before your purchase; i'll further add that what you're trying to do involves some risk, so if you have no contingency plan if you receive a non-pet friendly property, i would book direct (try to use the links in our support page if possible) to ensure that you can travel with your dog... if bringing your dog along is more of a want vs. a need, and you have a back-up plan in case you receive a hotel which does not allow pets, then at least understand the risk you're accepting with an opaque purchase.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or the links in our support page should you book direct)
