Romelle Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Try the HOTWIRE link in the upper left hand corner. Put in your dates and Orlando. When you get to the Hotwire screen, select 2 rooms, 3 adults and 3 kids. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the possibilities. The most expensive one was a Disney Main Gate 4* Condo at $100 per night. Furthermore, you can post back here the ones to which you are most attracted and likely someone will be able to take an educated guess as to what they might be. There weren't any 5* offerings from Hotwire just now, but that could change. If you are interested in bidding via Priceline, check out the PRICELINE link in the upper right hand corner. When you get to the page with the maps, take a look at the various zones and decide which ones you would like to bid. Then post that info back here to start getting some help on a bidding strategy.Romelle
trigyyz Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 thank you very much once again.Hotwire: any ideas what the most expensive one was at the Disney Main Gate 4* Condo at $100 per night is? and the SeaWorld - I-drive South area hotel for $80 per nightPriceline: Area 3: Downtown Orlando, 4 star deluxe Area 10: Sea World - Intl. Drive - Convention Center, 4 star deluxe Area 11: Universal Orlando Resort Area - Intl. Drive North, 4 star deluxeTY!!
thereuare Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 If you need help identifying the HOTWIRE properties please include the amenities associated with each.As far as PRICELINE goes, there is no way to guess, target, or avoid any particular hotel in the zone... if you bid on PRICELINE you need to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating, or higher, that you choose. PRICELINE usually gives you the lowest price, but HOTWIRE gives the benefit of knowing the amenities the hotel offers, seeing review/satisfaction levels of previous guests, and taking a guess as to what hotel you may receive... what is more important to you for this stay, the lowest possible price OR knowing the amenities, reviews and having a guess as to what you may receive before your purchase? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Romelle Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I should have mentioned the necessity of including the amenity list, so I'll do that for now. Romelle Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Well, one of the moderators hasn't done this one yet. I'm an amateur, but my guess for the Disney Main Gate Condo would be Mona Lisa Suites. The other one is a fairly common list of amenities, but I can see a match for a Hilton and a Doubletree. Nice. The list of reported hotels and amenities is the first post in the Florida - Hotwire area.Romelle
thereuare Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 I agree with the best guess for the Condo property being the Mona Lisa Suites.I don't have a guess for the I-Drive South property. It could be the Hilton or Dobuletree, but neither has yet been reported to the board with this amenity set, and these amenities are too common for a 4* hotel in this area to have much insight. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
