richiesdad Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 I'll be traveling to Boston and Cape Cod by car with my teenage son the last weekend in July. Do the 3 0r 4 star hotels in the Boston are offer free parking.Any advice on how to bid this ?
thenewbie Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 In the Downtown / Copley / Cambridge area, I don't think any hotels offer free parking. If parking your car for free is your primary goal, you will probably need to bid outside of the city, such as 2.5* in Somerville - Medford. If you want to stay downtown, park your car outside the city at a T station for around $3 a day and take the subway downtown. T - Subway Map The Braintree Station (red line) may work if you're going to Boston from Cape Cod.
richiesdad Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 Just booked a 4* at the Hilton-Logan Airport. ( $64....2nd try) I called the hotel and they told me that there was a $24 charge for parking.Any ideas where to park close by for less ?
thenewbie Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Any ideas where to park close by for less ?As mentioned in your previous parking thread, parking in the city (and near the airport) is not cheap. If you are looking to save money, park outside of the city and take the subway into the city. One option is to do to what I suggested in the other thread. This would require 2 subway transfers to get on the blue line. Or you can deal w/ city traffic + tolls and drive to a parking lot located near the Blue Line (Beachmont or Wonderland).
