jenny123 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I'll be in London with my two kids (13 and 8) from 4/7/12-4/10/12, need a room for all three of us, don't want to have any trouble when we check in. The hotel is recommended 100%! $123 per day. The amenities are fitness, restaurent, business center and internet, I don't know which hotel it matches, hope it's Hilton, so we all can stay, is it possible?
thereuare Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you including triple occupancy in your search, as i'm not seeing any 4* hotel offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates and 1adult/2children. (nor am i seeing such a property when searching for 2adults/0children)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jenny123 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Report Posted October 6, 2011 Sorry I made a mistake! The hotel amenities are:Boutique, Restraunt, Business and Internet.I've checked all the 4* hotels (the city and tower bridge) listed here on"hot wire hotel list", novotel and hilton are ok with the kids under 12 years old, and also from the tripadvisor.com, only Hilton I guess is qualified for the 100% recommended, but I am not so sure, any suggestions?
thereuare Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 In Europe, where rooms (and beds) are often notoriously small, i still think it's a risk to book a hotel for more than double occupancy, even if the hotel you think you will receive allows kids to stay free when booking direct. A hotel may have rooms with one or two beds in the same room class, and may be willing to pre-assign rooms with two beds to those who book direct on their website, but may not necessarily when booking thru a third party, and prefer to keep their own options open and not assign the room type until check-in. If you search HOTWIRE for only double occupancy the hotel will be sent a reservation designed for two people in the room, and they may assign you a room which can only accommodate double occupancy. You can call after your reservation and put in a request for a room with two beds, but there is no assurance the hotel will be able, or willing, to accommodate your request. It may very well all work out fine, but you need to be aware that you are accepting a risk (and not only with guessing the hotel correctly)With the above noted, my best guess for the property above is the Hotel Indigo Tower Hill. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. jenny123 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Report Posted October 6, 2011 thereuare, thank you very much for the advice! I have plenty of time before my vacation, I think I may call the hotel directly to see how they react to my request.

trvl2 Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for posting. I just booked this listing on Hotwire, as I was eager to try a hotel with a 100% satisfaction rating. It was indeed the Hotel Indigo London Tower Hill. It was $186 on hotwire for 3 nights in December, as compared to 141 GBP ($224) on the hotel website. Only a savings of $40 or so, but I'll take it.

jenny123 Posted November 8, 2011 Author Report Posted November 8, 2011 I have searched on your HOTWIRE link for a 4* london hotel in Kensington - Earls Court area, one room 4/7-4/10, $120 per night. Amenities listed as Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center and High Speed Internet. No reviews avaible. Any Ideas on what hotel this is? Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The amenities for the property above are quite common for a 4* hotel in any city, and this matches previous reports for the Crowne Plaza, Hilton Olympia, Holiday Inn Kensington, and the Regency Hotel... so any of these would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. jenny123 Posted November 9, 2011 Author Report Posted November 9, 2011 Don't want to end with Hilton Olympia, though normally I like Hilton a lot, but not this one.
thereuare Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Is there anything of interest and within your budget in a nearby zone? Is a different 4* hotel offered in this zone, and within your budget, if you change your search to 2adults/1child?
