amy6390 Posted June 12, 2005 Report Posted June 12, 2005 I have tried twice on Priceline for 2.5 dowtown FLL. I have bid up to 50.00. I was offered a free bid if I increases it to 64.00. I have a back up ressie for Amerisuites through valuetrip for 75.00 per night. I was thinking that I should just rebid every three days for a while or just wait it our and try again maybe in July. Any suggestion?
thereuare Posted June 12, 2005 Report Posted June 12, 2005 What is believed to be the AmeriSuites is available on Hotwire for $63/nite (your rate may differ slightly). If you've never used Hotwire before you can use the discount code at check-out 'giftcard06' for $10/off... bringing your cost to $53 (plus taxes and fees). You can decide to wait and continue to bid, or for the $3 difference you may just want to take it and be done with it (of course this assumes you're a new customer and eligible for the $10 off per nite)Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes. amy6390 Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 OK This is what I found in the downtown area with a 2.5 star and these amenties S-sites, Com. breakfast, pool, fitness center, kitchenette, busines center and self service laundry. The rate was 65.00. Could this be the Amerisuites? It is also listed as a customer favorite. Thanks so much for you help.
thereuare Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 Yes, compare the above to what is shown in our HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST and you will see that this is a match for the AmeriSuites, so that is the best guess as to this hotel's identity. amy6390 Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 It is showing 65.00 but I find anywhere to add the giftcard06 on the reservation. I am on the page where you enter crerdit or paypal info.
amy6390 Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 Well I did go ahead and make the ressie at 65.00 for Nov 18th 1 night at Amerisuites downtown FLL. With taxes and fees it was 78.95. Last year I was able to get it for 35.00 on priceline for my sister. I guess more people are catching on and that is Thanksgiving week. I am going to wait awhile and see if I can get the other rooms for less. Thanks for the help!!!!
