mrsellis Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Hi all:Hi All:Have to make reservations for L.A. on 10/14/11 - 10/16/11. Any idea what it might be? Found a 4* hotel in Downtown L.A. after using the betterbidding link to HOTWIRE.Following amenities:Bed ChoiceFitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa ServicesRecommended in 65% of Hotwire Reviews.Thank you!
thereuare Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 The above matches both the Millennium Biltmore and the Westin Bonaventure, so either of these would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. mrsellis Posted October 3, 2011 Author Report Posted October 3, 2011 Thank you - we're trying to avoid the Biltmore so not sure what to do...maybe will wait to see if the "smoke-free" pops up. That seems to be the only difference between the two? Although I think Biltmore has the 65% approval rating as opposed to the Bonaventure's 85%, too....if I bite the bullet I will use the link here and post the result...
AaronJB Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Thank you for keeping us updated with what you decide and for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. I'd suggest searching for 2a/2c to see if a different listing is showing, but no downtown hotels are available when I search for 2/2.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tg5280 Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 I just heard from a friend who is going to be able to accommodate me for the weekend. So glad I don't have to spend $500 on what sounds like a not so great property/deal.
thereuare Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 2a/2c = 2adults and 2childrenChanging the occupancy can often change the hotel offered. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thanks for closing this thread with your decision. mrsellis Posted October 4, 2011 Author Report Posted October 4, 2011 Oh! I changed the occupancy to 2 adults, 1 child, and I think I came up with amenities that match the Westin, which is what I want! Does this look like a match? It has the 85% HOTWIRE customer rating and the smoke-free rooms icon, which I think might be hallmarks of the Westin rather than the Biltmore...Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access$150/night
thereuare Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 These amenities have been associated with the Westin in the past so that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
