njg
Based on previous bids here, I knew to begin fairly high.4* Downtown $95.00 rejected, but they counter-offered with a $22.00 increase.I started over:4* Downtown + Lake Union $101.00 rejected, but same counter-offer ($22.00 increase)I started over again:4* Downtown + Bellvue-Redman $106--accepted.Check-In Date: Fri, Jul 29, 2005 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Mon, Aug 1, 2005 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $106.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $636.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $105.74 Total Charges: $741.74 I thought the taxes & service fees seemed high, but decided there was nothing I could do about it, so went ahead & submitted the bid. I am happy with the results. Thanks again for your service!Interestingly, I just checked the hotel's web-page and they have a special offer of buy 2 nights, get the third night free (week-ends) When I searched for these dates it still came up $40.00 higher. The conditions are similar to Priceline--non refundable, pay now, etc. The only advantage would be if you wanted to be certain to get the Westin & chose your room type. And, I guess you would save the Priceline fee. I am happy with my results, though. Link to comment

njg
thereuare,Yes, I have read the support page info. I have it on my favorites to remind me to use your links. The truth is that the main thing I "buy" on the Internet is Priceline rooms. Is there a way to just donate $$$?Also, I have made an effort to write down the details of my bids & share them, for whatever that is worth.njg Link to comment
