DaphneDescends
I tried West Covina area 3* at $45. Got accepted at first bid!Just the hotel I was hoping to get! My boyfriend and I live close to here and got this hotel a couple years back (you can see it my post history). We love how close it is to home, yet how far away and luxurious it feels! The hotel is quite lovely, especially for being in such a humble area :) . One of the nicest we've been to. It has a separate kitchen and living area with a flat screen tv.I booked through the PRICELINE link at the top of the forum.Oops. Didn't put the dates!9/28/11 to 9/29/11. Link to comment

DaphneDescends
Just wanted to give everyone some info on this hotel.Apparently all the rooms here are suites and feature a bedroom area and a separate room with sofa beds and a kitchenette. We had a king, but if you get a room with double beds, you could conceivably sleep six people! Also, internet is free and so is parking! The first time I won it I was automatically put into a renovated room with a flat screen tv in the living room area of the suite. This time around I was put into an older room with no flat screen tv, but the living area was much larger.I went back to the front desk and asked to be changed. The clerk asked if I had booked through a third party. I told him it was through Priceline. He then informed me that priceline buyers received the older rooms as default and I had to pay an additional $10 for the upgraded room.I asked why then I was placed into a renovated suiite the first time I got a room through Priceline. He said it was probably a mistake on the part of whoever gave me the room, but then said that the policy had been implemented within the last two weeks... so I'm not sure if he was just feeding me a line since the story changed.I ended up getting a newer room for only $5, so that was nice of him I guess. The older rooms are not bad, boyfriend just really wanted a flat screen. If you want a lot more space in the suite area, the older ones are better. They also feature a bar area and a table that seats 4 (the renovated room's dining table only seats 2). The decor of the older room is more traditional (hacienda style, similar to the lobby), while the newer ones are more contemporary style. I happen to like both, so I guess it depends on your needs and preferences. For what you can usually get this hotel for on PL, they're a great deal either way. Link to comment
