TOBB transplant here...that site sucks.

Not sure whats going on, I checked the convention pages and there is nothing too serious this night but looking for a Tuesday in Sept, the 13th actually. Would like a 4 if possible but a 3 will do.

Bid 3 times already. First time was downtown at 4* 70 80 90 with rebidding. 72 hours later bid downtown 4* 80 90 110. Then today Bid Logan 70 100.

I am thinking 130 plus taxes is a lot for the airport since we are just staying one night then flying out the next afternoon, but heard the 3* holiday inn is garbage from tripadv.

Idealy would like to spend 100 or less for a 3 or 4 either downtown or logan..preferrabley logan so we do not have to haul the international luggage down then back to the airport.

Suggestions..most the 4 stars are showing up between 220 and 299 with no AA discount...I have seen the doubletree downtown at 220 as well.

Thanks

Had one more rebid and put it up at 120 for 4* Logan, Downtown and the two free rebids....nothing.

Seems like Expedia.com has all of Sept as the dark green in the flexible travel weekdays.

There is a Boston Gift Show convention and a biotech conference, but even together i think they total just over 10K attendees... i wouldn't think that would make rates as high as they are appearing.

It is still early and i would suggest booking a cancellable back-up thru EasyClickTravel (or directly with the hotel... please use links from our SUPPORT PAGE if your plans allow) and try again as you get closer down the line.

Feel free to bump this thread if you see any change in hotel-direct rates and we'll try to have another look as well.

Keep us updated as to your progress.

EDIT: just thought... lots of colleges in the area and this is the beginning of the term... may have many parents moving their kids to school and staying at the nearby hotels

I will use the link...but do you really thing the price is going to go down over the summer? I noticed one of the 4's was totally booked up right now. But it's a Tuesday in Sept.

What would you suggest bidding to be accepted at the 4 star and price for 3 star level.

From our list it has only the 4 and the 2.5.

Does anyone have any input on the 3 star at logan through Hotwire. Its listed at 73 dollars currently.

Shuttle, business,pool, fitness, restaurant, laundry.

Also you moved the post to the priceline forum, which is not what I am questioning. I would rather have the post in the hotwire forum where hotwire users can see it and reply to it with their individual experience. Thanks.

We keep all posts for the same date(s) in the same thread, as it makes the board much needer, as inevitably users don't come back to post to the 'other thread' that ultimately didn't have a win... we have found that this format works much better so that there is not multiple approaches being spoken about in multiple threads. Users who know specific areas and are willing to help don't look in the pricelie forum or the hotwire forum, but rather look in both.

This hotel has not been identified, but i would put the Comfort Inn, Four Points, Courtyard, and Holiday Inn among the possibilities.

Congratulations, you got your price of $100 for a 3-star hotel room.

Bid 80,85,90,95...accepted 100.

Hotel rate is 319

1 room

1 night

Sub Total 100.00

Taxes and Fees: 20.00

Total: 120.00

Seems reasonable split between two people. Somehow all the hotels in Sept are asking 299 plus for 3 and up downtown. Logan is asking 400 for some rooms.
