Priceline Hotel: help a newbie

Hi all,

I am taking my family on a cruise vacation. I would like to stay in a hotel in downtown miami both pre and post cruise. The dates are Dec 9th and 10th for the pre curise and Dec 18th for the post curise. If the hotel had shuttles for the airport and cruise port that would be great but not required. I would like a 3 1/2 or 4 star. I have seen others post winning bids for the Hyatt at $65. Is that a good starting point to bid? As I started the bid process I did not see a place to enter how many would be in the room. It will be Myself, Wife and 18 year old son. Also when entering the dates I did not see a way to bid on all three nights at the same time as they were not consecutive. Would I have to place two bids or is there a way to bid on all three nights at the same time.

Few items to cover to begin...

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)

Whether you decide to go with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, you can only purchase consecutive nites in one purchase, so you would need to purchase 12/9-12/11 in one purchase, than make your post cruise stay as a second purchase (and naturally you could receive a different hotel than you win on the first purchase)
