vanpoodle Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Opened bidding at $79 for Notting Hill, was counteroffered at $96. Added Kensington, then Hammersmith and Wembley in $1 increments (learned from previous bid) and bid accepted at $83. Great weekend rate -- am trying to infill for the 3 nights prior but appears I will have to bid quite a bit higher. Have gone up to $119 in slow increments over the past few weeks and not even a counteroffer in sight.
AaronJB Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice deal for this Hilton property! In terms of additional nights added to the stay, did you try the "add a night" feature? The additional dates may take a higher bid, but the add a night feature may be worth trying.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
vanpoodle Posted September 26, 2011 Author Report Posted September 26, 2011 I haven't tried adding a night because I booked two rooms on this bid, and the 3 prior nights will have 3 rooms since I'm also bidding for a family member who will be visiting us there just for a portion of our trip. So, like a lot of my life, it gets complicated! and yes, I did use your PRICELINE link when I did some bidding this morning for those 3 rooms. I'll slowly keep creeping higher in my bidding over the next few weeks.

Seannie3166 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 New to these forums and Priceline in general, what do you mean when you say 'was counter offered at 96'? I've never got a counteroffer before just a link to add more areas to my search. I'm looking for Notting Hill nov 18th-22nd and I can't get anything for up to $100. Thanks for the help.
