Hi, I am pretty now to this forum. Need some advice. Please help !!

I also need to book 2 night stay at Venetian and my dates are very close what PINKCAT has booked on priceline for.

I am looking to book Venetian for Nov 11-Nov 13, 2011. I tried PRICELINE and went all the way to $200 but I did not manage to win it. I wonder how PinkCat and others managed to get it for $100-$125??

I am sure I must be doing something wrong. Please advice. Thanks

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

In terms of bidding for a 5* Strip North, you have to be willing to accept any of the 5*'s in the zone - the Venetian is one possibility, but there are others, including the Palazzo. Would you be willing to accept a different property, or are you only looking for the Venetian? Rates do vary (sometimes significantly) from day-to-day; unfortunately, these dates do look more expensive. What would be your desired budget per night?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum. I am looking to book Venetian for 11/11-11/13. My max budget is $150-$160. I see that people have booked Venetian for almost same dates for $100-$125. Was wondering if you guys can help me score such a deal.

thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum. Need some help !

Want to book Venetian for 11/11-11/13. Budget is $150-$160. I saw in the calendar that people got it for $100-$125 for these dates. I don't see those prices now.

Should I just wait a little longer? Is it expected that the prices might come down as I get closer to my travel dates?

Any other advice to score that price range?

Is there any way to find out if these dates are very popular in Vegas (comvention etc?) and I should not be very hopeful?

Thanks

Yes, I am willing to accept Palazzo too if that's what it turns out to be. I am aiming to spend $150-$160 per night. Even willing to spend 2 nights at 2 different properties if that will give me reasonable rates.

Really appreciate your help on this. Thanks

I don't think that $160 will be enough for this complete stay, although it might be enough for just the Friday nite by itself (if you are able to win for just Friday nite, Saturday will likely be much more expensive and/or you'll need to lower your star rating expectations). If you want to begin by bidding for the complete stay:

At the 5* level in Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 5* Strip North...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $160

Any questions feel free to ask.

In response to why it looks like rates are higher for you compared to others, you have to keep in mind the dates that are being booked. One person you referenced booked 11/5-11/8, which is only one weekend day compared to your booking in that you are trying to get a friday and saturday night (weekends are typically much more expensive than sunday-thursday in Vegas). Similar dates can sometimes be misleading in that sense.

Also, las vegas events or conventions can drive up hotel rates too. On November 12th, there is the Pacquiao fight at MGM grand garden arena which is likely causing rates to go up higher as more people are in town for that event. Combine that with a friday/saturday booking and the rates for that weekend aren't too surprising.
