MINDUAN Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I also need your adivce on getting two hotel rooms in Boston for the dates of Oct 19-23. I would prefer to stay at colely square, but Cambridge and Quincy Market is also acceptble. My budget is below 200$ per night per room. Thanks a lot
thereuare Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! At the moment rates are very high for these dates and i'm not sure if you'll be successful in these zones at a 3.5* or better, but to begin, did you want to start by bidding up to your limit for a 4* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. MINDUAN Posted September 25, 2011 Author Report Posted September 25, 2011 If a lower star hotel is safe and clean enough, I can also accept. I got a win for Westin Colely Squareat 160$/night for last Oct stay in Boston . I think Colely Square is quite good for tourist.I bid for a 3.5 hotel up to 220$ for colely square just now and failed. Do you think I have no chance to get a room under 300$ since a lot of meeting is scheduled on those dates
thereuare Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Your 'new' $300 limit is still pretty far from the $220 you have already bid, and while these are difficult dates, $300 would be far from a sure thing, but it's still a lot of money for a hotel room so you never know if a hotelier would be willing to accept this amount to lock in a non-refundable purchase. I do think you'd better your chances if you included all of the zones you previously mentioned as being acceptable, and i would also consider SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID if you're willing to stay at two different properties. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click this PRICELINE link before replying.Thanks.
