Tried to extend nights, for 10/1-10/5, failed.

Now, I have to find another hotel to stay for 10/1-3

Where can I find a cheaper overnight parking near Hyatt Regency (MP/Loop) ? Thanks.

In terms of parking, i know the Navy Pier often has one of the less expensive parking rates in the area, and i'm sure AaronJB (who is local to the area) will comment further once he sees this thread.

Unfortunately, there's no really good answer to parking in Chicago - it's very expensive and I think hotel parking rates are going up again (parking at the Palmer House has now passed the $60 mark, at $61 per night for valet.)

The Millennium Park lots (which I believe are $25) are closer to your hotel, but I think it's a bit nicer to walk to/pick up from Navy Pier, which is $20 per day, according to the website (Monday through Thursday - a flat rate of $20.00 per day*)

The Navy Pier Parking Garage is open 24 hours. After 24 hours you will be charged an additional $20 (weekdays) or $24 (weekend).

I have another question: I checked the free museum day and it says "FREE general admission for Illinois residents only". It means ID/driver licence will be check on the gate? so visitors cannot get the free admission?
