bpsdave Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 hitrying to book USE for the above two nightsgone up to $200/night butno luck, though from the calander i see the hyatt has given a couple of rooms at 187.from Expedia a number of hotels are sold out -is something happening specifically in town then?will i get 4 star for this type of rate if i have to move over to usw/nob hill -just a bit worried about getting close to tenderlointhanks in advancedave
Gallus50 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 If you're really worried about the tenderloin - and there's no need to be, but anyway - why not bid EMB/FD, SOMA AND FW? They're not near the Tenderloin. EMB and SOMA are still central, and FW has the F Market and the cable car to get you where you want to to. Availability is not awful on those dates, but not great either. So you probably need to widen your funnel. Also BTW - lastminutetravel.com has more availability than HW, so if you don't get anywhere with PL, you can try LMT. Easy ID's using BEAV's method in Run of House on the forum.

bpsdave Posted September 28, 2011 Author Report Posted September 28, 2011 hijust concluding this posti bid up to $230 for use,usw and Embarcadero and got nothingwent on LMT as suggested and got hyatt regency for $213 -the uk version of the site isnt opaque though and so i could choosethis was on request and has now been confirmedseems to be limited availability these dates on many booking sites so must be a busy time/something on ?a bit more expensive than other hotels in vegas and LA that i have booked thro priceline for the trip ,but happy enough with thisi have noticed a couple of bad reports on LMT though and i wonder if anyone has any experience good or bad...should i be worried?regardsdave
thereuare Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Glad you found something that works for your needs.I wouldn't be too worried about using LMT, but booking issues can happen thru anyone you book with, so it's always a good ideal to travel with printouts of your reservations and confirmations... makes it much easier to solve any problems which may arise from time to time.Have a good trip.
