Hotwire Hotel: Duluth/Superior- Help ID

I have been putting through multiple bids for the last 4 days. Started as low as $50 and now am up to $98 with no success for 10/7 - 10/9.

If I have to I would even be willing to spend 10/7 outside of the city to save $ in which case I would need help bidding for a 3* hotel in Duluth for 10/8-10/9.

Anyone have any ideas or how high I should expect to have to bid?

Even if splitting your stay, at the moment, i think the nite of 10/8 is still going to be quite pricey... if bidding for just this solo nite, what would be your maximum bid?

I would consider as high as $120.

If there's anything going on in Duluth, unfortunately it quickly becomes busy/expensive. HOTWIRE is showing nothing at the 3* level on the first night, but it has a 3* for $152 on the second night - I'd start at $100 for a 3* on the second night, but I think you may have to go to $120 (and possibly higher) for a 3* for the second night.

When bidding 3* in this area you do have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* Duluth...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110

You can try the above for both nites of your stay, then if rejected close browser and re-try for just the solo nite. If that too is rejected, wait 24 hours and repeat, using $115, $120, and $125 (if you're willing to bid that high) as the bid amounts.

I tried both suggestions. I went as high at $130 a night for the second night alone. Let's see how desperate I am tomorrow :)

Neither property has been ID'd/reported to the board; not sure what the 2* Duluth would be (unfortunately, no tripadvisor rating showing, which would help narrow it down), but my guess would also be the Holiday Inn Express for the Superior property.
