royannan Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 We just had our lodging fall through, and have to find a hotel for a weekend stay in Las Vegas, October 7th through October 9th. There are 5 women in our group, and we are celebrating our 40th birthdays. We'd prefer to stay on the strip, or off strip at the Palms or the Rio. I've used Priceline before, but never to book multiple rooms and never in Las Vegas. We want a hotel with a casino and a pool, but are pretty flexible other then that. Where do I start?
AaronJB Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)How many rooms are you looking for, and which zones would be acceptable? Additionally, what would be your desired budget per night/per room? I'll note that if you are looking for specific amenities, HOTWIRE would be a better choice, as there's no way to guarantee a particular amenity using PRICELINE.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
royannan Posted September 15, 2011 Author Report Posted September 15, 2011 Two rooms. I'd love to spend less then 150 a night, but could go as high as 200 if necessary. Anything on the strip would be fine, like I said we are pretty open as far as location, which is why I thought we'd try Priceline or Hotwire for this trip.
thereuare Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. As well, many Las Vegas hotels now charge for more than double occupancy, or classify rooms with one bed as 'standard' and rooms with two beds would require an upgrade. Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'lll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. royannan Posted September 19, 2011 Author Report Posted September 19, 2011 I think we'd be willing to risk it for Priceline. Sisters can share beds. My ideal situation would be one larger upgraded room or mini suite with a seating area with one bed, and one standard room with two beds.
