Priceline Hotel: 4 * Omni Hotel Priceline Atlanta Downtown

I have been reading the posts and looking for answers on how to win the Omni CNN Center downtown Atlanta. I can't find any current Priceline posts or documented wins. Did Omni stop using Priceline and only uses Hotwire?

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.

I understand the process of Priceline. I am concerned that the Omni CNN is no longer an option on Priceline. It was on there several years ago. Have you seen the Omni being won through Priceline bidding lately?

This hotel has not been reported to the board in a couple of years. That does not necessarily mean that it doesn't participate on PRICELINE anymore, but some hotels use PRICELINE frequently and then aren't seen for a while. There's no way to know when/if the hotel will start appearing more frequently (although, as noted above, there's no way to bid for a specific property.)

The Omni is on the retail side of Priceline as a 4* hotel. That of course does not necessarily mean it will come up as a win via bidding. But at least Priceline is carrying it, and 4* is the right level for bidding and hoping for it.

The retail description does include the word "Midtown" in it, so you'd have to do some mapping to make sure of it's bidding zone.

Just won on priceline the Omni Hotel-I checked HOTWIRE first to "guess" what hotels would be available, but it's never a guarantee.
