Priceline Hotel: 4* New York City (Midtown West) Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help with strategy for the 9/30 - 10/2 weekend.(sorry, topic is slightly wrong)

For some reason, prices seem quite high to me.

Ideally, I'm looking for something near the Chelsea/Empire State/MSG/Downtown areas, but am open to pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. (Prefer not UES/UWS though).

I'm really struggling with bids, though.

Yesterday, I started with a 3.5* strategy, and bid from $100 - $150 on most of the prime areas. (using rebid zones)

A few questions:

1. Any idea why prices seem so high this particular weekend? Is there an event going on that I'm unaware of?

2. I'm not too picky about where in Manhattan I end up - but are any zones worse than others when it comes to being far from a subway stop?

3. On that same note, if I drop to 3* , are some zones considered better than others?

Would love advice on a 3* strategy at this point.

Thanks!
