Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Orange County (Disneyland-Anaheim South) Doubletree Hotel

I've been trying for a few weeks to reserve a room from 10/01/11-10/08/11 in the Disneyland-Anaheim South zone but was having no luck. So, I took a calculated risk and tried splitting it up. (We've been hoping for the Doubletree. We've stayed there several times and love it. We would have been okay with the Crowne Plaza though.)

Bid $45 from 10/01/11-10/03/11 (using the PRICELINE link on this site) and was accepted for the Doubletree on the first try. (I'd tried these same dates at $45 and $46 a couple of nights ago without success.)

Then, took PL's offer to extend the stay: the only options were 10/04 and 10/05, so I tried through 10/05.

PL came back and rejected the extension for $45, but gave me the option of $61. I took the $61 offer for those nights. (Didn't want to fool around any more to save a few dollars.)

Then I went and booked the rest of the nights through Hotwire--also the Doubletree. (Will post that separately on the Hotwire forum.)

Have I mentioned that this is the greatest site ever? THANKS! :)
