Railbaron Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Hello, I successfully bid for a pair of airline tickets to Bermuda for travel last month past weekend. FWIW my winning bid was $365 for CHA-BDA per ticket plus fees but this is probably not representative for what might be accepted at other times because it was a holiday weekend. I did research and used free rebids to zero in an the best price I could have gotten.Anyway, on the return flight I noticed I had a 3 hour and 25 minute layover in Charlotte. I believe I saw that maximum layovers were 3 hours. I called Priceline and they assured me that on international flights they are allowed to book a much longer layover if necessary, I believe she said as much as 6-7 hours.I did get a flight with only one connection as per their rules and US did allow us to standby for an earlier flight at no charge so it didn't really matter. Also the scheduled layover was not much over 3 hours. It was my first success with PL for airline tickets. So what I'm wondering is if what PL told me about the maximum layover time was correct for international flights. In other words, what is the maximum connection time for international flights and is it different than for domestic flights?
