Initially I was looking for a hotel in downtown Vancouver from June 29 -July 3rd (Canada Day long weekend). I was looking for a good price and I heard about hotwire and priceline.

I am new to this and have been watching prices on priceline and hotwwire for the last two weeks. Prices for 4*+ hotels have been ranging from $120US - $259US. I ended up bidding on priceline for $90US and it was rejected.

Right when I was about to give up I searched Hotwire and found 4.5* for $84 US/night. I decided to book it and also entered "GIFTCARD06" and saved an additional $40 US ($10/night, I think?).

After reading some of the bulletins I figured it was the Westin. Turns out I was right. I feel I have gotten a great deal.

Cheers AstroBoy :)

:) Good to hear you got a good deal. I have never stayed at the Westin on Bayshore but I heard it was pretty good.

After I booked it on Hotwire I called the Westin to verify my room and requested a non-smoking room. One thing to note is that parking is $20/day.
