We paid $478 per night (we're from Ireland, Europe) and while that seems expensive compared to some rates - we unfortunatley discovered AFTER booking our flights that the UN general assembly is in NYC the same week and the hotels are fairly full - hotel receptionists confirmed this also - other websites were quoting nearly $700 per night so we're happy with our price... (so long as it stays like that )
