I was wondering if there is a rough rule of thumb when the hotel chains start lowering their pricing? Is it roughly 4 weeks or less to the target date?

The last round I did $10 increments leading up to $160 and no luck. Thinking I may need a new strategy for these two areas with 3.5 star.
