Fixed Dates 10/3 to 10/7 (4 nights). 2 guests.

Prefer not to spend more than $250/nt.

Areas: Time Sq. MTW, MTE, MSG, Chelsea, Empire St., even downtown.

Would like 2.5 star or better.

BTW what does the "best value" indicate next to the star values?

I have never stayed in NYC before. My wife and I will be there meeting our daughter who lives there.

We are going to the Statue of Liberty on the 4th and then just enjoying Manhattan after that.

So, I just want a decent, safe place, where you can get a good nights rest at a good value.

It would be nice to be convenient to the subway and restaurants.

So I am open to suggestions and advice.

I would like a bidding strategy.
