TravelQuest Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 I've used hotwire a lot to book hotels, but I've never rented a car using hotwire. I've heard people refer to bidding on rental cars. I don't know what their talking about. I've never seen "bidding" on anything with hotwire. I'm going on a 16 day vacation to AZ, NM and CO in October and I'd like to get the best rate on a rental car I can. I have questions though. How can you know in advance that the car has unlimited mileage. That's important for me. I'll be covering a lot of territory. Any help is appreciated.
thereuare Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Please start by reading your messages. There is no bidding on HOTWIRE, but there is with PRICELINE.All cars thru both services come with unlimited mileage, although some rental locations may have geographical restrictions as to how far out of the area you're allowed to drive the car. These rules would not be PRICELINE / HOTWIRE specific, but more so standard to the rental agreement at the agency/location you end up.What is your starting location? Will you be returning the vehicle to the same location? What are the dates of your rental? Currently what is the best daily, and all-in including fees and taxes, you're able to find for this rental?Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. As an active HOTWIRE user we looking forward to hearing about, and helping with, your future travel plans. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
