sitraveler Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Hi!I'm planning to stay in NYC from Nov. 08- Nov. 13 th, and I'd like some help in order to bid for a 3,5* - 4* hotel in NYC.We're a couple, and we don't mind much about the area we'll be stay in Manhattan (we're think about bidding for Downtown or Midtown/Central Park).I've never tried bidding for Priceline or Hotwire before (I have read the instructions and tips at this forum, tough)...I've thought about a 150/160 U$ initial bid...Do you think I can get any luck?Any hints are much appreciated! Thanks.
AaronJB Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Just to confirm, are there any zones you would not want to bid on or are there areas you'd prefer? What would be your desired max budget per night? Unfortunately, September through mid-December is pricey in NYC, and while $150 is a fine starting bid, I'm guessing a 4* in the core midtown zones may take as much as $200-250, depending on the zone.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
