Michael M Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 I'm taking my wife and our 13 month old daughter to Manhattan in October. I'm looking for a 2.5* and up hotel anywhere south of W 110th St (the north edge of Central Park) and north of Washington Square park. Ideally, I'd like to be close to a metro stop. Does anyone have any tips or strategies on bidding amounts or area selections? Can we do 4 nights for less than $800?Thanks in advance for any help!-Michael
AaronJB Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This is unfortunately an expensive time in the city (September through Mid-December is generally pricey.) Additionally, there is no way to guarantee a property right near the subway. Are you looking for $200 or less per night "all-in" (including taxes/fees) or $200 + taxes/fees?I do see what appears to be the Murray Hill East Suites on HOTWIRE for $218; while somewhat over what you were looking for, this property does offer "apartment-like" rooms (kitchenettes, for example), which may be good if you don't plan to stay out too late/making a meal in the room/etc.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
