Priceline Hotel: NYC 10/7/11 - 10/9/11

Need help finding hotel for above dates. It will be my daughter and me, planning to see a broadway show and American girl doll store. I prefer to stay close to times square. Area should be safe and close to subway station. I prefer 4* but will take 3.5*, want to stay below $200 per night. Is this doable? Thanks.

In terms of being near TS, which other zones would be acceptable/how far a walk would be okay? Rates in Midtown for these dates are definitely on the high side - a 3.5/4* may be difficult, but a 3* under $200 should not be an issue, at least given the rates that I'm seeing.

thanks for a quick reply. I think MTE, MTW, MSQ all should be ok. Do you think waiting closer to my travel dates would be better. I don't want to go lower then 3.5*, although as a last resort I would go 3* for a good location.

Based upon current rates i don't think you will succeed at $200 or under for a 3.5* or better. If you want to first try for a 4* hotel, besides MTE, MTW... is CPS and TS acceptable as well?
