mjhassan Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Please help id hotel in Vegas for dates of 8/18-8/19: Selected amenities include: Resort, Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby. $77 per room per night. I was thinking since it was listed as a resort that it was the Mirage. But that is only a guess. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

mjhassan Posted June 8, 2005 Author Report Posted June 8, 2005 I went ahead and bought the room. I was so excited about the price and thought I had it narrowed down to the Mirage or MGM, but it wasn't, it was the Luxor. This will teach me to be more patient. When I first started looking into a hotel in Vegas for a few nights of our vacation I did look into the Luxor, and I think I could have gotten a room there for the same as the $77 Hotwire rate, but never considered it a resort. So I thought I was getting a better hotel. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to the details.I didn't get your reply until after booking the room, is it still possible for me to get the list of amenities you were talking about?
thereuare Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Go to Hotwire and then click the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.I'm willing to bet that it's the amenities listed above as well as a Business icon. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mjhassan Posted June 8, 2005 Author Report Posted June 8, 2005 Yes, it also states business center in the list. Just looked at the Luxor homepage and could have gotten the same night for $79.99, but would have paid less in taxes. If I would have booked straight with the Hotel I would have paid $87.19, with Hotwire I paid $91.95, no bargain this time! I also saw it was listed as a 3.5 * and no mention of resort on Expedia. Now I'm really disappointed with Hotwire and I am really leary of booking anymore hotels through the site for our vacation that will also include San Fran and Anaheim.
