Priceline Hotel: 4* Newark (Jersey City) Westin

Hotel rates in NYC are high due to Fashion Night Out and the 9/11 Anniversary.

Tried 3* in Chelsea, C.I., and Downtown up to 145. No wins

Tried 4* in All NYC regions except Brooklyn, Central Park, UES, and UWS up to 175. No wins.

Hotwire was showing the Westin (exact amenities listed here) for $154/night total $540

Bid on Priceline started at 77 night for 4* and increased by $10 each time i added a zone.

127 was accepted. After bonus cash of $6 a night and Taxes and fees, came out to $454 total.

Really wanted to try W Hoboken, but am happy with price I paid. Stayed here a couple of times before and large rooms 1 block to PATH, and decent indoor pool are pluses.
