Hi there,

Could anyone assist me please in finding suitable accommodation for a trip to NY please?

Details:

Dates- 27-12-11 to 01-01-12 (5 nights)

People: 2

Star rating: 3.5 or 4 if possible

Areas of preference- Midtown (East or West) or Financial District

Approximate price: $160- $240 per night

That is a fairly wide budget... are you willing to pay more to stay in a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better in any of the zones you've designated? Given the price range, and geographically diverse zones, what exactly is it that you're looking for from this stay?

Exactly which midtown zones are acceptable?

Note that at 3.5* and under the following 'circumstances' exist in the following zones:

MTE - some of the hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway

CPS - contains the Hudson Hotel, which while located has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)

Keep the above in mind when deciding which zone(s) are acceptable.
