Kaia Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 HI, I have never used hotwire but have been using the board and am finding it helpful. The dates of my travel will be October 19-23. I am looking for the Wynn or Encore specifically but other 5 diamond resorts in the north Strip area will be fine. On hotwire they are offering "LAs Vegas Strip- North Area Five Star for $ 137amenities include:Spa Services Guests have access to a spa facility or spa services; an extra charge typically applies.Resort Resorts offer a complete destination experience. Facilities generally include a spa or fitness center, one or more swimming pools, and superior dining options. Depending on location, recreational activities may include water sports, golf, tennis or skiing. Coastal resorts usually boast ocean views or beachfront access. Note: A resort fee may be charged.Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.Kitchenette Accommodations include a stovetop or microwave oven, a sink and a mini-refrigerator.Can anyone help me get an idea of which hotel this might be?? Thanks.
AaronJB Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This would likely be a match for the Trump.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Kaia Posted September 1, 2011 Author Report Posted September 1, 2011 Thank you. I had a feeling. Do you have any suggestions to getting Wynn or Encore on HOTWIRE?

AaronJB Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Thank you. I had a feeling. Do you have any suggestions to getting Wynn or Encore on HOTWIRE?Unfortunately, these properties do not appear to have any HOTWIRE inventory for these dates - at least at this point. They may decide to offer discounted inventory at a later date for this period (there's no way to know for sure.)You can try using PRICELINE in an attempt to see if PRICELINE has any inventory, but that would likely require a higher - and possibly quite a bit higher - bid than the HOTWIRE Trump listing price. What would be your desired budget per night? One or two of the 5*'s in the North Strip area are noticeably cheaper for the first two nights than the second two nights, but unfortunately when looking at the first two nights, the Trump is still the only HOTWIRE 5* in the North Strip.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Kaia Posted September 2, 2011 Author Report Posted September 2, 2011 This may seem like a silly question but I am figuring out the whole bidding process. If i were to use Priceline and bid around $200.00 for a five Star North Strip Resort ( which is over what the trump is priced as on both sites) do you think i will be able to avoid the trump and get another 5 Start on the North Strip? basically is it possible for a hotel that is advertised for a lower rate else where to accept a bid on priceline that is over what they themselves are charging? I'm sure the trump is nice but I'd rather stick to the Strip. Thanks for the help :)
AaronJB Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 The Trump was last reported in the Strip North Condo zone, a separate zone than the Strip North zone (where the "known" 5*'s are the Wynn, Venetian, Palazzo and others.) However, in general it is highly recommended to not bid higher in an attempt to get a particular property, as there's a very good chance you may get the same property you would have gotten had you bid lower and/or bid more than the regular rate for a property and wind up getting it.You can try using PRICELINE in an attempt to see if PRICELINE has any inventory, but that would likely require a higher - and possibly quite a bit higher - bid than the HOTWIRE Trump listing price. Kaia Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Thank you Aaron. I didn't want to spend over 160.00 per night. I was trying for the Wynn because of recommendations from friends who had stayed there. BUt let me ask you, What would you recommend for a First timer in vegas. We are not big on the Casinos. Might play a few for fun. Not huge fans of the CLubs either but would want to check out one. I feel like i have overwhelmed my self figuring out what hotwrire was offering.
thereuare Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Why not bid the 5* Strip South zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Kaia Posted September 5, 2011 Author Report Posted September 5, 2011 Yes, i think i am going to bid S* South Strip on Proceline however when i went to do so it was not an option. There was 5* south Strip vicinity as a zone option but not "Strip South" is that the same as South Strip list that you have listed under Priceline hotel list?
AaronJB Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Strip South Vicinity is the same as the Strip South in the list.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
