Priceline Hotel: 4* Newark (Jersey City) Westin

This is definitely the most I've ever spent on Priceline -- and I wish I had grabbed the Sheraton Lincoln Harbour Hotel last week when it was rack rated at $177, since Sheraton usually upgrades my room (grr to me). But given that Hotwire has a JC 4* with a 4.5 Trip Advisor rating for $192, I definitely saved some money using Priceline instead -- using the Better Bidding PRICELINE link, of course!

I also just checked Westin's own site: lowest priced room for these days is $409 -- so now I definitely feel better! :)

This hotel is much nice then the Sheraton Suites and although i haven't see the rooms of each, for the same price i would likely sooner take a standard room at this relatively new Westin than an upgraded room at the much older Sheraton Suites. Besides the hotel itself, the Westin has a much better location and more things to do in the immediate area. If you routinely are upgraded at the Sheraton due to having status with Starwood, both the Sheraton and Westin are Starwood brands so you may potentially get an upgrade here as well.
